1. Nature of the Collection

SocialMUD operates as a historical repository. We do not own the scripts hosted here; they are a collection of "abandonware" and community-contributed code gathered from public internet sources. We do not provide technical support, bug fixes, or security patches for any software in the archive.

2. No Warranty / Limitation of Liability

All code and information are provided "AS IS" and "WITH ALL FAULTS." To the fullest extent permitted by the laws of California and the United States:

• SocialMUD and its administrators shall not be liable for any server compromise, data loss, hardware damage, or legal disputes arising from your download or use of these scripts.
• You assume 100% of the risk associated with executing, modifying, or hosting this code.

3. Membership & Donations

Support through memberships or donations is a voluntary contribution to help maintain server costs and archival efforts. VIP access is a "thank you" privilege and does not constitute a purchase of software or a service-level agreement. All contributions are final; no refunds will be issued.

4. User-Generated Content & Forum Advice

In accordance with 47 U.S.C. § 230, SocialMUD is not the publisher or speaker of any information provided by users in our forums or comment sections. We are not responsible for "fixes," security advice, or modifications suggested by other members. Use community advice at your own peril.

5. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SocialMUD and its operators (based in San Bernardino County, CA) from any claims, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) resulting from your use of the site's resources or your violation of these terms.

6. Governing Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California, USA. Any legal action regarding these terms shall be filed in the courts of San Bernardino County.
